Over the weekend, Cate and Adam drove to Ligonier, the small town where Cate spent many of her summer's away at camp. At camp we often create lasting friendships with people who were once complete strangers. The memories we have can be defining. Cate showed Adam cabins, trails, hillsides and pine trees. Each place had a story. I imagine that many of these spots are layered with not only Cate's stories, but hundreds of stories spanning decades.
Places can become a part of who we are: chapters in our personal narratives that we can read aloud to those we love.
