A few months ago, Brian asked Gitti to marry him. They woke up the very next morning and got married.
These are the photographs of the wedding celebration that came a few months later. They were taken in the backyard of the homestead that used to be Brian's grandparent's farm. After making a few phone calls, the current owners of the home generously opened their doors for the wedding.
I don't believe in perfection, but I do believe that there are moments where it feels like time stands still and the soul of the universe opens up and makes you feel like there could never be anything more beautiful and eternal than your present reality. There in the pouring rain, under an old sycamore tree, in the same place that Brian's kin grew their love, I could feel the seconds slowing to a stop.
Dear Gitti & Brian,
Thank you for being so completely alive and whole-hearted. I can't wait to come sleep on your floor in Kenya someday.
